Every now and then, a week comes along that feels like a string of pearls—each moment shining a little differently, but together forming something priceless. This week was exactly that.

We kicked it off with a date night that could have been pulled straight out of a French film. La Tête d’Or set the stage—a little candlelight, a little jazz, and that unmistakable hum of Manhattan sophistication that lets you know you’ve stepped out of your routine and into something special. The foie gras was sinful, the Bordeaux perfect, and for a few hours, the world shrank to two glasses, one table, and the woman across from me.

The next evening I returned to my own kitchen—because as any home chef knows, sometimes the best restaurant in the world is your own. My famous Steak Frites made an encore performance for the family. Crispy edges, rich butter, that hint of rosemary smoke—it’s a dish that always feels like a small triumph. Cooking for them after a night of being cooked for—it’s a rhythm I’ll never tire of.

Midweek, Aimee and I paid a visit to Celebrity Chef David Burke at his beautiful home. If you’ve ever met Burke, you know he’s equal parts mad scientist and culinary poet. The man doesn’t just cook; he creates theater with flavor. We laughed, swapped stories, and he teased a few of his upcoming projects—each one more intriguing than the last. Spending time in his world always reminds me how artistry and hospitality are cousins of the same creative spirit.

And speaking of artistry—our 2026 Reader & Listener Trip is officially live! After months of planning, we’re thrilled to announce that a small group—just 40 of you—will join me in retracing one of the most meaningful journeys of my life. We’ll walk through Rome, savor Sorrento, and fall head over heels for Positano and Amalfi—the same path my bride and I took this year. Imagine espresso on a sun-washed terrace, the scent of lemons drifting on the sea breeze, and the laughter of new friends echoing down cobblestone streets. It’s more than a trip; it’s a memory in the making. Details are available now at ThatPassportLife.com — and spots will disappear faster than a morning cappuccino in Piazza Navona.

In this issue, we’re inviting you to Tap the Untapped. Our feature explores Untapped NYC—a brilliant local company revealing the hidden stories, secret architecture, and tucked-away gems of the city that never sleeps. From speakeasies to underground train platforms, their newest “Nightcap” tour literally ends with cocktails beneath the stars at Grand Brasserie. It’s a reminder that discovery doesn’t always require a passport—sometimes it just takes curiosity.

This weekend also brings another packed edition of That KEVIN Show. We’ll connect with Daniel Flesch for an on-the-ground update from Israel, hear from Patrice Onwuka on how the government shutdown is uniquely affecting women, and launch a new campaign for educational freedom with Erika Donalds and The America 250 Coalition. And because a weekend with us always includes laughter, the Puppet Regime, Al Barry, and The Babylon Bee are all taking swings at the week’s absurdities. Finally, in our #NewMusicSpotlight, two powerhouse voices—Ben Fuller and Carrie Underwood—remind us why faith, melody, and storytelling will always matter.

Whether you’re here for the travel, the taste, the tunes, or the truth—thank you for making this growing community what it is. Every read, every listen, every moment you share helps keep the adventure alive.

Catch up on everything, every show, every highlight at ThatKEVINShow.com.

Until next time—travel well, live fully, and keep your passport close.
