CMT Awards Translate Into Download & Streaming Bumps

This month’s CMT Awards translated to big sales and downloads for many of the artists featured on the program.
Performers seeing huge sales gains include: Kane Brown, whose “Short Skirt Weather,” saw a 723% bump, Zac Brown Band, who saw a 277% increase in sales for “Someone I Used To Know,” Tanya Tucker, whose “Delta Dawn,” jumped 245%, Little Big Town’s “The Daughters,” which had a 78% gain and Runaway June’s “Buy My Own Drinks,” which saw a 75% gain.
As for streaming, Runaway June saw streams of “Buy My Own Drinks” jump 39% to 1.04 million, while ZBB saw a 25% increase in streams for “Someone I Used To Know,” Luke Bryan’s “Knockin’ Boots,” was up 17% and Carrie Underwood’s “Southbound” was up 13%.
