Two powerhouses from Oklahoma shared the stage in Boise, Idaho this weekend. As promised, Garth Brooks brought out Blake Shelton during his show at Albertsons Stadium for the first-ever live performance of their collaboration “Dive Bar.”
The pair was shooting a live video for the song, and Blake was certainly amazed to be there, telling the crowd, “I was singing with Garth Brooks! I’m freaking out!”
The duo actually had to perform the song twice, after the truck outside told Garth they needed a do-over. That prompted Blake to joke, ““Are you telling me I sucked?”
- “I didn’t know what a singer he was until he stepped up to the mic," Garth told Variety before the show. “He doesn’t seem to be a guy that ever thinks anything is pressure. If you hang around him, he just seems like, ‘Ah, it’s just another day.’ I wish I was like that. I love him to death. He’s so easy to get along with.”
