The Country Music Hall of Fame just revealed the inductees for the 2019 class, which include Brooks & Dunn, Ray Stevens and former producer and label chief Jerry Bradley.
“It hasn’t soaked into me, and it probably will some time when I’m off to myself having an emotional moment,” Ronnie Dunn, shared after the announcement was made. Kix Brooks added, “Like most of the people in this room, I’m just a fan of country music...The fact that I or we would be in the Hall of Fame, that’s not something you think about, even when you’re winning awards and stuff,” noting, “The faces on this wall I will never consider my peers, most of ‘em. I idolize ‘em.”
The pair are being inducted in the modern-era performer category, with Kix sharing, “Thank you so much for believing in us, because we didn’t really believe in each other.”
Stevens is being inducted in the veteran performer category, while Bradley is being inducted in the non-performer category.
- The official Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place this Fall during the invitation-only Medallion Ceremony at the Hall in Nashville. Check out this year’s announcement below.
