While George Strait allegedly retired from the road several years ago, he certainly hasn’t given up the stage, and he just announced a huge new show at Foxboro, Massachusetts’s Gillette Stadium. Along with George, the August 17th concert will feature Blake Shelton, Cody Johnson and Caitlyn Smith.

George announced the show with a funny video featuring him and Blake poking fun at George’s so-called retirement. “That’s not possible, he retired. He made a huge announcement. He said, ‘I am retiring. I’m not going to tour anymore,” Blake is heard saying, while George notes, “I don’t know where that came from. I guess when I said I wasn’t going to tour anymore that they thought maybe I was retiring. But that was never my intention.”

George also pokes fun at Blake's gig on "The Voice," joking that he didn't know the show, but adding that he likes Blake's frenemy Adam Levine

Tickets for the Gillette show go on sale March 29th. Check out the announcement below.
