John Prine did his part to help TSA workers in Nashville who are not getting paid due to the government shutdown. The singer and his label Oh Boy Records bought the workers lunch over the weekend, and it was much appreciated.

“Thank you @hattiebs and @flavorcatering for helping us (@ohboyrecords) feed the @tsa staff at the Nashville airport today,” he shared on Instagram. “The Nashville airport is my second home and everyone there always takes care of me, it’s nice to be able to do something small for them today.”

And the Nashville International Airport shared their thanks for the meal on Facebook, writing, “What a gesture of appreciation to BNA's hardworking Transportation Security Administration staff. Hope to see you again soon at BNA, where we 'prove we can run twice as fast as the sun by losing our shadow at night.'"
