John Prine To Be Honored With Pre-GRAMMY Tribute

John Prine is set to be honored with a tribute concert in Los Angeles the night before the GRAMMYS. The Americana Association will put on the concert, which will take place February 9th at the Troubadour.

The Americana Association’s tribute concerts are traditionally scheduled for the evening before the big show, with the lineup not being announced prior to the event. Tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Previous tribute shows have celebrated artists like Loretta Lynn, Emmylou Harris, Glenn Frey and Phil Everly.

Prine is up for three GRAMMYs this year, including Best Americana album for “The Tree of Forgiveness” and Best Americana Roots Song, for “Knocking on Your Screen Door” and “Summer’s End.”
