Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton And More See Post-GRAMMY Sales Bump

This weekend’s GRAMMYs provided a pretty big sales boost, not only for some of the winners, but some of the performers as well.
Nielsen music reports that songs performed on the show saw an overall 480% increase in digital download sales, with Kacey Musgraves’“Rainbow” up 9,430% and Brandi Carlile’s “The Joke,” up 2,771% from the day prior. Kacey also saw a huge boost in her Album of the Year winning record, “Golden Hour,” which jumped 597%.
Also seeing an increase is Dolly Parton, with the five songs performed during her MusiCares tribute medley - “Here You Come Again, “Jolene,” “Red Shoes,” Trio’s version of Neil Young’s “After the Gold Rush” and “9 to 5" - getting a 718% increase compared to the previous day. Young even saw a little boost, with his original version of “After the Gold Rush” up 2,241%.
