Kane Brown will help the The Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign with a halftime performance at AT&T Stadium during the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game against the Washington Football team. Kane made the announcement while appearing on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” earlier this week.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of this year's Dallas Cowboys halftime show honoring The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign," Kane shares "There were times growing up when my family did not have enough to eat, or a roof over our head, and today, there are so many people in need.” He adds, “2020 has been a hard year, but every small act of generosity helps. I am honored to have the opportunity to bring awareness to the ways people can help during this holiday season and beyond."
The Red Kettle campaign usually kicks off with the performance over Thanksgiving weekend, but for the first time 130 years it actually kicked off in early September, due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the organization worried that in-person donations would be lower than in years past.
The Red Kettle Kickoff halftime show has been airing for the past 23 years. Last year’s Red Kettle campaign raised $126 million.
