Keith Urban On How He Found The Song “Burden”

Keith Urban recently released a studio version of “Burden,” the Foy Vance cover he debuted on the ACM Awards, and in new behind-the-scenes video he shared just how the cover came to be.

He explains that when he was playing the 02 in London, Ed Sheerancame out to see the show and they wound up talking about Foy. “The next day, I had a day off in London, so I got on my bike and put my headphones on and road around London for like two hours listening to Foy non-stop,” he said. 

Wanting to learn more, Keith checked out some live footage of Foy on YouTube, which is when he heard the song. He says he “just fell in love with him,” adding, “I thought, ‘I’d love to be able to do a version of the song – the way that I was feeling it in my heart.’’”
