Luke Combs Drops Bluegrass Song With Billy Strings

Luke Combs just treated fans to a new song. The singer dropped the tune “The Great Divide,” a collaboration with bluegrass singer Billy Strings.
“It felt like a good time to put this out,” Luke shares. “There was something that I have always wanted to do, which is write and put out a bluegrass album. I wrote a bunch of bluegrass songs in June of this past year and I had plans to write a bunch more.”
Unfortunately, COVID got in the way of Luke getting to write more bluegrass songs, and he says he’s now getting ready to work on his next album so, the bluegrass record “is on the back burner for right now.”
- As for the song, he explains, “It’s not meant to be political. It’s not meant to try and tell you what to think or tell you how to believe. That’s not my job," adding, "It’s just a guy kinda saying the way he was feeling when he wrote it.”
