The estranged-husband of Dixie Chick Natalie Maines wants her to pay up. Actor Adrian Pasdar has filed court documents seeking temporary child support and spousal support from the singer, to the tune of over $60k per month, along with attorney’s fees of $350,000.
The former “Heroes” star argues that while Natalie makes about $2-million a year, with a net worth of $50-million, he’s accumulated $200,000 in debt since they split. Pasdar says he only makes about $150,000 a year, which doesn’t support him and their two kids.
In court papers, Pasdar she paid for almost everything during the marriage - and that he put his his career on hold to be their for their kids while Natalie was making music. Married in 2000, Maines filed for divorce in 2017.
- Was there a pre-nuptial agreement? You bet. While this is his first ride at the rodeo, it's her second. And while the couple did sign a prenup before they got married, Pasdar is challenging it. Maines says her ex’s actions are a “transparent attempt to secure an unfair litigation advantage by wearing Natalie down and dragging this case out.” To that point, she says he's refusing to sign documents confirming the validity of their original agreement.
