What To Watch On TV While Ringing In The New Year

While a lot of people will be out celebrating New Year’s Eve tonight, there will also be lots of people staying home, and there will be plenty to watch on TV to help them ring in the New Year.
New Years Eve programming includes:
- "Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020" (ABC, 8 EST/PST and 11:30 EST/PST) – This year’s show will once again have Seacrest, along with co-host Lucy Hale, in Time’s Square, where he’ll be joined by Post Malone for a post-midnight live performance. The Los Angeles portion will be hosted by Ciara, featuring performances by Paula Abdul, Kelsea Ballerini, Blanco Brown, Dan + Shay, Green Day, Dua Lipa, Ava Max, Megan Thee Stallion, Anthony Ramos, Salt-N-Pepa, SHAED, BTS, Sam Hunt and Alanis Morissette, who'll perform with the cast of the Broadway musical “Jagged Little Pill.” In addition, Sheryl Crow and Usher will perform from New Orleans and Jonas Brothers, will perform from Miami.
- "New Year's Eve with Steve Harvey: Live from Times Square" (Fox, 8 EST/PST and 11 EST/PST) – Harvey returns for the third time to celebrate New Years Eve on Fox, with co-hosts Maria Menounos and former NFL star Rob Gronkowski. Musical acts on the show include LL Cool J featuring DJ-Z Trip from Times Square, as well as Tyga, The Lumineers, Florida Georgia Line, the Chainsmokers, Backstreet Boys and The Killers. There will also be a special performance by the Village People, who will attempt to break the record for the world’s largest “YMCA” dance.
- "New Year's Eve Special 2020" (NBC, 10 EST/PST and 11:30 EST/PST) – Hosted by Carson Daly, NBC’s NYE special will feature music from Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Julianne Hough, X Ambassadors, Brett Eldredge, Ne-Yo, and Leslie Odom Jr. Keith Urban will also join the telecast live with a performance from his headlining set at Music City Midnight in Nashville.
- CNN’s annual NYE coverage with hosts Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen - (8 EST/5 PST) featuring performances by Lenny Kravitz, Patti LaBelle, Christina Aguilera, Shania Twain, 50 Cent, Keith Urban and the Chainsmokers. At 12:30 am Brooke Baldwin and Don Lemon take over hosting duties from Nashville, featuring highights from Music City Midnight in Nashville.
